Covid-19 update - A message from our CEO, Jamie Bellamy

A message from our CEO, Jamie Bellamy on Covid-19

With restrictions now easing, we wanted to provide our members with an update on what is currently happening at the Society.

After a difficult time for us all, we can now look forward to getting back to our normal lives and enjoying the little things in life that we once took for granted.

Back to business

Like many of you, our employees had to adapt to a new way of working and we were able to react quickly to ensure all of our team could work from home to carry out their work and retain the high service standards we set.

Due to the relaxation of the rules, we are taking the required steps in bringing our team back into the office on a gradual basis. We will still be wearing masks when moving around the office and maintaining social distancing.

With the majority of the team now back in the office we can continue to provide the highest levels of service to our members; our usual opening hours remain the same (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) but if you do need to contact us outside of these hours you can contact us via email enquiries@sheffieldmutual.com, or via our online contact form: https://www.sheffieldmutual.com/about-us/#contact-us. I If you prefer, you can also contact us via our online chat facility.

Even though we are getting back to our normal our postal service is still being impacted with issues relating to Covid at our local sorting office, so please allow for some extra time when receiving/sending forms.

Supporting our members?

If you are a member and are experiencing personal difficulties, we would like to remind you that you have access to the Member Assistance Programme via BenefitHub. The Member Assistance Programme offers a range of valuable telephone services for you to use and includes legal advice, counselling, bereavement services and legal and medical information. The services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Please contact us if you require your referral code.

How can you keep up to date?

Please continue to check our website as well as social media platforms where we will update you on current events and notify you of any changes as required. Our telephone service is also available where one of our friendly and knowledgeable team members can answer any questions that you have.

Finally…Thank you

Throughout these challenging times, we would like to take this chance to thank you for your support and loyalty to the Society.

We hope you, your family & friends continue to take care and stay safe.
