The sky's the limit!

Over the weekend, Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist Laura took part in a skydive. Laura was due to take part in a skydive with fellow colleagues over a year ago but had to postpone.

The postponed skydive was to raise money for Support Dogs, a national charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children and adults with various challenging medical conditions. The charity provide, train and support specialist assistance dogs to achieve this.

On the day, the visibility in the sky meant that the skydive was delayed until the visibility became clearer, which just added to Laura’s nerves!

Laura finally got to jump at 3pm at Hibaldstow Airfield, which is a 15,000ft jump – the highest you can skydive in the UK.

Laura said: “This skydive has been a long time coming! I started fundraising for this in 2019, but then Covid hit, so we had to halt our fundraising. We were then due to do the skydive at the end of 2021, but I had to postpone again."

"I’m really happy I finally got to do it! I was really nervous going up in the plane, but it’s one of the best things I have ever done! And it was great to do it for such a worthy cause!”

The team at Sheffield Mutual raised £1,625 for Support Dogs.
