Sheffield Mutual to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

A team of eight, including our Chief Executive, Jamie Bellamy, and Chief Operating Officer, Paul Galloway, will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in April 2021 to raise vital funds for Sheffield Mind.

Sheffield Mind is an independent mental health charity, which has been providing support and care for people with a range of mental health issues in and around the city of Sheffield for over 40 years and have supported upwards of 100,000 individuals in that time.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24.5 mile walk which includes 1,585m of ascent up the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. The peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Curtis Parker, Lead Business Development Specialist at Sheffield Mutual said:

“We are thrilled to be supporting Sheffield Mind for our upcoming challenge.

2020 has been a tough year for everyone so it feels fitting to support a charity who themselves have supported and cared for many others during these difficult times. What better way to pledge our support by putting on our walking boots and climbing three peaks!”
