Our 2021 Community Fund is now open!

The Sheffield Mutual Community Fund is now in it’s seventh year, the main aim of the initiative is to make funds available for donations to small local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations.

Since the Community Fund launched back in 2014, we have donated to a variety of different charities and community groups including: Sheffield Mencap & Gateway, NSPCC and Whirlow Hall Farm Trust.

Chief Executive, Jamie Bellamy is keen to keep the momentum going and continue with Sheffield Mutual’s commitment to helping good causes. He said:

“Our Community Fund is now in its seventh year. It’s great that we can help smaller, local charities and see first-hand the benefit our funding makes.”

Donations are available for amounts of up to £1,000, in line with the following criteria:

  • The donation should benefit a South Yorkshire community or elsewhere if nominated by an existing member
  • Donations will not be made to individuals, companies, political parties or religious groups (unless the project will benefit the wider community)
  • Donations are not normally available to cover the general running costs, but must be specific projects, initiatives, services, facilities or equipment
  • Donations are not available for statuary services, such as libraries and hospitals

Interested local charities and community groups can apply for a Community Fund donation by filling in a form on Charity and Sponsorship page.
