Sheffield Mutual Friendly Society has been helping its members to provide a more secure future for themselves and their families for more than 117 years. We may have been helping to look after people's financial well being for a long time, but we also know the importance of moving with the times.

Whilst we remain passionate about our heritage and mutual status, our products and services have been broadened to include a range of savings, investment and protection plans, with the aim of helping to provide today’s members with a comfortable and financially secure future.

The Society is:

• Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
• A member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Please browse our site and the products we have to offer – ranging from the Tax Exempt Savings Plan, which allow investments to mature tax free and are unique to friendly societies like ourselves, to our ever popular tax-free Stocks & Shares ISA. Both of these products are invested in our market leading with-profits fund, which has topped a Money Management magazine survey for the past four years (Source: Money Management With Profits Survey – April 2009). Of course past performance is not an indicator of future performance, but our prudent investment strategy and mutual status, which enables us to return most of our profits to members by way of bonuses, helps us to maintain attractive investment returns year-on-year.
