Charity Award – Foxhill forum
Posted on May 12, 2017
Foxhill Forum offers a lifeline to local people living in the deprived neighbourhoods of North East Sheffield by providing a wide variety of much-needed activities, services and opportunities, all based on local need.
Opportunities are delivered across 4 core strands:
- Health & Wellbeing
- Active In-volvement (Volunteering)
- Community Learning
- Employability Support
The Forum own and manage the In-volve Community Hub, a well-used community building in which these essential opportunities take place.
A grant award from Sheffield Mutual would enable the Forum to deliver new healthy cooking and eating courses to support local people to develop basic cooking skills and improve their diets. It would also make it possible to run an additional Job Search session during the week.
