The Role:
You’ll be a key member of the proactive Risk and Compliance team and in addition to providing IT support, you will be educating users on technology, testing the society's policies, and working with 3rd parties to ensure key elements of the business are functional and efficient. Working closely with the IT & Cyber Risk Specialist and the Chief Operating Officer you will be making sure that all things IT related are running smoothly whilst creating reports that can be used to improve and change the landscape and the future technology roadmap at Sheffield Mutual. The role enables you to work on your own initiative, but also within a team and you’ll have lots of variety. There's always opportunity to roll your sleeves up and get involved in different parts of the business.
About you:
You’ll need to be a good communicator, accurate, reliable, enthusiastic, calm under pressure and quick to learn new things. Previous experience in financial services isn’t essential, but we’re keen to hear from you if you’ve had a technology background. Ideally you will be educated to A-level or equivalent standard having a certification in computing, IT or a similar subject.
You will have a keen interest in IT and keep up to date with new technologies and emerging risks. You will be comfortable with the Microsoft office suite in particular, Microsoft Excel, but also comfortable at picking up and understanding new software and systems.

Salary range and package:
Starting at £19,000 (rising to £19,500 after successful completion of probation))
Full time, permanent
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
