Sheffield Mutual is an insurance and investments organisation, that have been operating since 1892. For over 130 years we have had our members' best interests at the forefront of everything we do.
You’ll be a key member of the proactive Risk and Compliance team and in addition to providing IT support, you will be educating users on technology, testing the society's policies, and working with 3rd parties to ensure key elements of the business are functional and efficient. Working closely with the IT & Cyber Risk Specialist and the Chief Operating Officer you will be making sure that all things IT related are running smoothly whilst creating reports that can be used to improve and change the landscape and the future technology roadmap at Sheffield Mutual. You’ll need to be a good communicator, accurate, reliable, enthusiastic, calm under pressure and quick to learn new things. Previous experience in financial services isn’t essential, but we’re keen to hear from you if you’ve had a technology background. Ideally you will be educated to A-level or equivalent standard having a certification in computing, IT or a similar subject.
You will have a keen interest in IT and keep up to date with new technologies and emerging risks. You will be comfortable with the Microsoft office suite in particular, Microsoft Excel, but also comfortable at picking up and understanding new software and systems.
